Christmas Time at Temple Square

December 21st, 2011

Last night I took my family to see the lights and feel the spirit at Temple Square. It was very cold however our hearts were very warm with the spirit. Here are a few photos of my favorite moments during our visit. Enjoy them, share them and may you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Johnson Children ~ Photo Session

December 16th, 2011

Happy times and Happy Holidays!

These photos were made in American Fork and boy was it cold. The kids lasted just long enough though, thankfully. We had a few red noses but a lot of fun making these.

Hope you enjoy.

As always we love comments so don’t be shy. Let us know what you think.

Giving thanks

November 24th, 2011

I have many, many things to be thankful for this year. I would list them all but I would probably forget something so I will tell you about one that sticks out in my mind. My family. I am thankful for my wonderful wife and children. They are everything to me and I would not be who I am today without them in my life. I am also thankful for my parents and siblings. My family, as some of you may know, has gone through some tough trials with health in the past few years and this year was no exception. Specifically, and most recently, my sister having a heart attack (actually 2). If there is a bright side to this happening to her it would have to be first off that she is doing fine now, second that it was a wakeup call to all my siblings that we need to do what it takes so we hopefully won’t have similar issues, and third that it motivates me to eat healthier and exercise. It was a wakeup call to me to say the least. Thankfully everyone has pulled through their ailments thus far.

I am also thankful for the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner my wife, children and I put together today. It was the first time we had cooked a turkey, and the first time we did everything all on our own. It was fun and extremely exhausting at the same time, but I am proud to say that everything was very good. Not knowing the first thing about cooking a turkey we looked up recipe after recipe and put together a plan. Pretty much we did everything we could do to make our turkey as moist and delicious as possible. We soaked it in a herb brine overnight, we used a herb butter to slather on the outside of the turkey, we injected olive oil and herbs inside the turkey and we used a cooking bag to seal in the moisture. Sounds overkill right? but man was it moist and delicious. Heck everything was delicious and everything homemade.

Wait what was I saying before about eating healthier?

Herzog Family

October 26th, 2011

We had the pleasure of photographing the Herzog family once again and I can’t believe how much the kids have changed since the last . Take a look at some photos from their May 2009 session. I guess it goes to show you that even if kids are in Junior High or High School they still need photographs made of them do capture how they are changing through the years. Today will never be today again.

How to: Move Facebook photos you have been tagged in to an album

October 24th, 2011

A few people have asked us over the years how they can organize the photos that we tag them in into an album on Facebook.

Follow these steps:

Tagged Photos —–> An album

Step 1

Locate and select a tagged photo you want to place in one of your Facebook albums.

Step 2

Click on the “Download” link (right side of screen) and save the file to your computer. Save the photo(s) somewhere that you can find again in just a minute.

Repeat this step for all photos that you want to put in this album

Step 3

Locate and select the Facebook photo album you want to use to store your picture. Or make a new album if you don’t have one already.

Step 4

Click the “Add More Photos” button and upload the tagged picture(s) you downloaded to your computer. The photo(s) will be saved in your chosen album.

Hope this helped.

Enjoy!

The Pitcher Family

October 20th, 2011

Today I want to share with you some photographs we made of the Pitcher family. It was a chili afternoon but the kids were great and didn’t complain a bit. I love the images we were able to make for their family especially the fact that they are unique because of their twins.
